Hi Julie,

My stylist gave me a tip that works real well for my hair....every few weeks or so wash it out with baking soda.

I just hop in the shower with about a half cup of baking soda, make a paste and then have at it. It seems to get all the conditioner residue and such out of my hair. I tend to know that its time to do it when my hair starts getting tangly.

The baking soda is so natural that it gives my hair a huge amount of body because all the extra oils and product residue are gone.

Good luck with the haircut :)

Ooooh, I didn't know Jodie Foster "The Brave One" was an option. I know it's too late, but I think that would look fabulous on you! Now I'm super excited to see you tomorrow!

Interesting tip with the baking soda. I may have to try that sometime. So ... I decided not to lose the length and make my husband happy. I also realized it might be nice to have hair on my neck as the temperatures drop. Perhaps I'll go short next summer!

Hey Julie,
You've probably already seen your therapist, :), but I swear by shampoos. I would take a trip to the drug store and start reading labels. If you want more body and a fuller look, find a shampoo that offers that result AND blow dry your hair upside down.....that will give you volume. Hope this helps :)) (two chins) Your lucky it's your hair!
Mary*
ps - my mother also used to suggest rinsing your hair in vinegar or beer to cut any build up.
